I am an English teacher and I often use the oils with children in my class. They love them, and they even ask for one when they have a problem. What I have observed is that some children, after smelling Sacred Mountain, are able to concentrate better and so to learn more easily. Apart from that, they discover that there is something they can do, something easy and enjoyable, to improve their results at school, and that it has nothing to do with effort. I think they become more confident and powerful, and they know they have their own resource.

I have several friends with children who have allergies/asthma that come and visit my farm. Normally after 15 minutes in my barn, and around my animals, they come out with swollen eyes, stuffy noses, red faces, and going to 'Mom' for Benadryl, or inhalers, or what have you.
I got rather frustrated so made a rule that if these children wanted to be in my barn, they had to use two oils before entering! First I had them put Lavender on the palm of one hand, rub their hands together, and then wipe their hands on their faces, necks, and arms, and anything not covered. I had them do the same with Peppermint, but only had them inhale this from cupped hands over their noses, but not wiping it on themselves.
Now these kids can spend hours in the barn with no ill effects - no runny noses, no swollen eyes, ect. I was amazed and delighted because now they can spend time with the animals which they love.

Having 7 children, we inevitably get bouts of nighttime coughing. One or 2 drops of RC rubbed on the chest and back sends everyone back to a quiet sleep.

The kids were going camping over the Fourth of July weekend with family and friends. Bib, my youngest, wanted something to make her sleeping bag user friendly all weekend. By using what left over dabs I had in these bottles; Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, I blended it with witchhazel then into several small spray bottles. Each child gets a bottle to apply to shorts, shirts, sleeping bags, towels and interior of tent.
The result a very hot but fun holiday with no chiggers, no spiders in tent, fewer mosquitoes over all and sleeping bags that smelled better on return then when they left. Bib plans to use it in her Gym locker upon return to school.

Maya, my 3 year old granddaughter and two classmates contracted pink eye. My daughter put a scant amount of Young Living's lavender oil on her finger tip and ran it across the eyebrow of the infected eye of Maya when she came home from school and again before bed time. Maya awoke without pink eye or it's symptoms.

Melanie also had a fussy new baby. I mixed up a blend of roman chamomile, peace & calming, lavender, and quite a lot of mixing oil. Melanie applied to baby's tummy and back 3-4 times a day, and it seemed to calm her fussiness. When her two older children, ages 4 & 5 get overtired and irritable, she also uses peace and calming. The children think it's great fun to put on grandma's oil stuff.

The first time I used peppermint is when two of my children ate too much holloween candy and were vomiting. A drop of peppermint rubbed over their tummies stopped the vomiting.
A few years later we were hit bad with some kind of terrible stomach flu that caused everyone in my home to vomit until they were so tired and drained we just wanted to die. Finally I took out the peppermint and applied it to every tummy and we got immediate relief from the vomiting and were able to rest and fall asleep and recover. Thank goodness for peppermint oil.

My name is Carmel Volino and I am writing in regards to Berry Young Juice in which it is also helping with my 7 yr old daughter. Since drinking an ounce evry morning, she has had no signs of getting the common cold or any other illness since the beginning of school. I find this is a great way to teach young children how important it is for them to take vitamins and show them their immune system will stay strong and the importance of feeling energized and well.

December 2003 my 3 year-old all-girl was sick with whatever was going around. She felt miserable. What really surprised me was this: After I put a drop of JuvaFlex and a drop of Joy on her liver, she immediately started acting better. She started smiling and being pleasant, even though she still felt lousy.
Now whenever she starts to get 'out of sorts' and misbehave, I try to reach for either essential oil blend to put a drop on her liver. It really helps.

After my son's burn I was hooked on Lavender. I have since mixed equal parts of helichrysum, lavender, and V6 into an empty Lavender bottle. I dilute with V6 because I have small children and would like to avoid any reactions to the strength of straight oils. This blend I have used on various scrapes, cuts, and slivers that are brought to my attention by my four kids and husband. With the slivers I dropped on one drop so I could get the slivers out and another after they were out to take away the redness. I am in awe every time I use lavender. I do use straight lavender on my eczema, but I use the blend on my 2 yearold's eczema. Both are a great deal less itchy and present than what they were before I tried oils.

My 7 yr old daughter gets herself into 'scrapes' periodically. For example, she recently stapled her finger and was screaming in discomfort. She refused my help in removing the staple, but allowed me to dab a little clove oil on it. Her finger numbed a bit from the clove, and it made it easier for her to remove the staple.
She's also at the age where she's been losing her baby teeth, and of course, wants to wiggle them around and pull them herself. We dabbed clove oil on the gum area, reducing her disacomfort and allowing her to 'lose' her most recent tooth with less discomfort. In fact, she asked for the clove oil before I even mentioned it as she had remembered from the staple incident. It's great to teach kids about the oils when they're young. She's so very receptive and interested in their abilities to heal us.

"I tried the Young Living Essential Lavender Oil on our three children before they went to bed. It helped them relax and sleep better through the night. In fact, I slept through the night without one single little person waking me. I took Young Living Essential Peace and Calming Oil and started putting one drop on the children's pillows at night and mine, too. That helped us all fall asleep quicker and sleep more soundly."
... "Our son was bringing home some school work with grades not that good. After talking with him I came to the conclusion that he wasn't concentrating so well. I tried some Young Living Essential Peppermint Oil on him before school each day and his school work came home with better grades. The bottom line is the Young Living Essential Oils are terrific. The results speak for themselves."

"Our initial reason for trying the oils was to see if they would help our 10 year old son. He has been plagued with occasional stomach cramps and throwing up. Doctors have said it is related to his sinuses. Others say 'children have stomach aches,' and on and on. I have watched him suffer knowing that this is NOT normal. Since we have been using the Young Living Essential Peppermint Oil (9/96) he has not had one single episode! My daughter is also susceptible to strep throat and she has had only one bout early this season. She is feeling great with the use of Young Living Essential Peppermint Oil, Young Living Essential Lemon Oil, and Young Living Essential Lavender Oil."

"Here in Indiana we are knee deep in hornets & yellow jackets, and they're becoming aggressive as they ready themselves for winter. Yesterday, our 14 year old son got stung, without provocation, on the foot. It took us 10-12 minutes to get home, by then, his foot had a large swollen area the size of a 50 cent piece, hurting pretty badly. I put a drop of lavender on and he rubbed it in and it stopped the pain immediately, and within 10 minutes, the swelling was gone! Today all that's left is a tiny red dot, no pain or swelling whatsoever. GREAT STUFF! Keep the lavender handy! God Bless."

"Over the 4th of July, my 2 year old granddaughter was stung by a scorpion. The hospital could do little but tell me to wash it 3 to 4 times a day, give her benadryl and apply neosporin and watch for a red streak going up her leg or anaphalactic shock, then sent us back to the hotel. The next morning, it wasn't looking any better. Thousands of open, running blisters all over both of her feet. So I mixed 3 drops of essential oil in a handful of aloe vera gel and applied to her feet. Within 10 minutes 90% of the blisters were all but gone. If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would never have believed it! (I am a skeptic by nature). At noon, I again applied the oil. By 7:00 that night all that was left was a bit of redness around the site of the sting. We even went swimming in the hotel pool that evening. All I can say, is the essential oils definitely works better than anything I've seen before. Wouldn't go anywhere without it now! "

"Yes my wife and I have had success with our son Matthew who has asthma. It only acts up when he gets a fever or cold and we usually have to take him to the Doctor or emergency room where he was in the hospital for 5 days last Easter. Well to make a this story short Matthew started running a fever a couple of weeks ago and sure enough his asthma was kicking in after a very hard and restless Friday night. In the morning we were ready to take him to the Doctor. I said let me try this lavender oil. As God as my judge within a matter of seconds applying the oil to his feet and on the top of his feet for the bronchial tubes his breathing smoothed out and the little fellow fell for a restful sleep. Ellen and I were in total amazement all we could do was look at one another and say unbelievable. We now put lavender on his feet every other day and all is well"

"Must tell you about my latest experiences with Essential Oils. My grandson was visiting us last week-end. Went to the beach. While there he got stung by a jelly fish. By the time we got him home his left hand was red and completely swollen. I used Essential Oils of Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint and within 15 minutes the swelling and redness were completely gone. I could not believe it."

"On Monday morning, Sept. 9, 1996 my 11 year old daughter woke up with tonsillitis. Her tonsils were red and swollen. Her temperature was 100 and climbing. I put one drop of Lemon Oil, one drop of Peppermint Oil and one drop of Frankincense Oil in the palm of my hand, mixed them clockwise and applied to each side of her throat and to the bottom of her feet. I did this twice a day. On Tuesday she was worse, more swelling and now she had pus spots on each tonsil. Her temperature was now 102. Still I persisted. Late Tuesday night her fever broke. Wednesday it never got above 99.4 and the swelling and color looked better. My daughter was much better on Friday and returned to school only to find out she could not return without a doctors note. We took her to our doctor the following morning. There was very little swelling, temperature of 99 and no pus pockets on the tonsils. He said she was fine and did not need a prescription. I described her condition at the beginning of the week and he said he would have recommended removing her tonsils had he seen her then. The doctor was amazed at her recovery."

"Recently our children got the chicken pox and we put Young Living Lavender Oil on the pox and it took the itch away and helped them dry up. We also used Young Living Peppermint Oil for their fevers."
